With only a few months left till the current season ends, FC Barcelona have started planning for the upcoming summer transfer window, in which they will once again have to work with a very tight budget to strengthen their team ahead of the next season.
In this regard, one of the activities that the club undertook recently was the meeting of Deco with officials from Manchester United. While details on this summit were not released by either side, it was speculated in the media that several players from both sides were discussed.
Now, Mundo Deportivo reports that three Barcelona players are on the list of the Premier League side for the upcoming summer. These players include Frenkie de Jong, Alejandro Balde, and Ansu Fati. The Dutch midfielder has already been linked with Manchester United in the past, but a move did not materialize in the end.
Now, with the arrival of the billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, who has taken over 25% rights on the English club, the Red Devils are looking to strengthen their team significantly this summer, and De Jong is once again a preferred target.
Furthermore, the current Manchester United coach, Eric ten Haag, was also one of the individuals most responsible for the rise of the midfielder during his time at Ajax, after which he moved to Barcelona. His presence at Manchester United can also help lure the Dutchman to England.
The other two players, Alejandro Balde and Ansu Fati are seen as promising potential stars by the English side. Balde is currently out with a long-term ACL injury and is not expected to get back to action for the current season.
Ansu Fati, meanwhile, is currently playing on loan in the Premier League with Brighton and Hove Albion and is trying to regain his best physical and sporting level.
