FC Barcelona are set to take on Getafe CF in their opening game of the 2023/2024 La Liga EA Sports season and the Catalan giants look to come away with all three points from this opening fixture.

Both sides taking part in the clash will be looking to make the best first impression possible in the league opener taking place at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

Having gone three visits in a row without winning away to Getafe CF, Xavi Hernandez has decided to field a strong eleven with the intention of turning the unfortunate tables in this particular fixture in the favor of FC Barcelona.

FC Barcelona look to kick off their official first game of the season with German goalkeeper and Barcelona second captain Marc Andre Ter Stegen in goal to keep the Getafe opposition at bay as he looks to continue his superb Zamora-winning form from last season into this new one.

In the defense, Alejandro Balde and Ronald Araujo start the game on the left-back and right-back positions respectively, while the central channels of the defense are occupied by the defensive duo of Jules Kounde and Andreas Christensen.

The Barcelona midfield is comprised of new arrival Oriol Romeu acting as the primary pivot of the team alongside Dutchman Frenkie De Jong and German Ilkay Gundogan taking up the more advanced midfield roles.

Lastly, the forward line is comprised of Spanish youngster Pedri taking over the left wing slot as a false midfielder while Brazilian winger Raphinha takes charge of the right wing hoping to provide both creativity and direct offensive danger.

The center-forward position is entrusted by Xavi Hernandez to Robert Lewandowski, who will be hoping to capitalize on his Pichichi winning season from last time around and ensuring his shots keep hitting the back of the net this season as well.
