FC Barcelona welcome Spanish rivals Real Betis for their fifth clash in La Liga EA Sports in the 2023/24 season. The Catalan giants are well aware of the dangers that Los Verdiblancos possess and are accordingly prepared to face them head on.

With Real Betis looking to field a strong eleven to take on FC Barcelona, La Blaugrana are not one to fall behind and simply watch passively. While rotations were expected, Xavi Hernandez has still managed to assemble a strong lineup for FC Barcelona as well.

The following is the official starting XI released by FC Barcelona prior to the commencement of the game against Manuel Pellegrini’s Real Betis.

In goal, rather undoubtedly, starts German International and Barcelona captain Marc Andre Ter Stegen. The German keeper will be looking to do his best to thwart any chances that Betis manages to conjure up in front of the Barcelona goal and ensure they remain at bay throughout the game.

On either flank of the defense, Barcelona fullbacks Alejandro Balde and Joao Cancelo make the starting eleven. With Balde’s blazing speeds on the left-back position and Cancelo’s undoubted technique reinforcing the right side of the flank, Barcelona will be looking to rely on their fullbacks for support and progression.

Centrally, Frenchman Jules Kounde is partnered up with Danish defender Andreas Christensen. The pivot position is covered by new arrival Oriol Romeu, who continues to be amongst the untouchables in Xavi’s Barcelona due to his necessity within this current system that the Catalan coach so heavily relies upon.

The more advanced central midfield positions are covered by Dutch midfielder Frenkie De Jong and Spanish Golden Boy winner Gavi, with both of them hoping to ensure stability within the midfield despite the absence of Ilkay Gundogan.

Lastly, the attack consists of an attacking trident that is spearheaded by Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who will be looking to add more goals to an already growing tally. On either side of the striker are Ferran Torres and Joao Felix, with both players making their first starts of the season for FC Barcelona.
