FC Barcelona youngster Pablo Torre

Villareal emerging as the next loan destination for Barcelona youngster

With the summer transfer window looming closer and closer, FC Barcelona executives are working to ensure the club meets its objectives set for this window. While there are a number of operations higher on the priority list of the club, one objective that the club is looking to fulfill this summer is to send one of their youngsters on loan.

The youngster in question is Pablo Torre, who has made 15 appearances with the club in total, playing mostly in the Barcelona B team, and rarely with the first team. In these 15 appearances, the youngster has provided only 2 assists and scored one goal.

Despite this meager output, the club’s coaches believe Torre has immense potential, but needs the right environment for his proper development. As a result, SPORT reports that the club has decided to send the player on loan to a first-division team, which will allow him significant time on the pitch, without putting too much pressure on the young player.

In this regard, Javi Miguel of Diario AS reports that Villareal is the best-placed club to get the youngster on loan for the next season. The current coach of Yellow Submarines, Quique Setien, is particularly impressed with the player, and will be more than happy to train Torre himself for the next season.

Barcelona would be willing to accept a loan offer of one year, without an option to purchase the player permanently. The player himself is also open for a loan at this point in time, as he understands the importance of getting more minutes on the pitch for him to develop further.

Thus, the final league game of the season against Celta Vigo could be the last one for Torre, before he leaves for another club on loan. As things stand, Villareal are increasingly looking like his next destination, where the player will hopefully grow under the former Barcelona coach, Quique Setien.
