Although it has only been around a month since the last summer transfer window closed, FC Barcelona are already being linked with several players for the upcoming transfer windows.

For instance, they were reported to be keeping an eye on the Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane recently, and also with the Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey. The Catalans can sign both of these players for free next year.

Partey will be a particularly alluring option for Barcelona to strengthen their midfield, but according to Fichajes, he is not the only midfielder that the Blaugranes are considering.

The Spanish publication claims that due to Hansi Flick’s insistence, Barcelona have also set their sights on the Napoli midfielder, Stanislav Lobotka. The German tactician believes the Slovakian midfielder’s profile is best suited to enhance his midfield.

Lobotka has been an important part of Antonio Conte’s Napoli team, and at this initial stage of the season, he has already impressed with his passing quality, ability to organize the team, and his understanding of the game.

His experience and versatility will also be attractive for Flick as they can provide a quick boost to the team. However, this is not the first time that the Slovakian has been linked with Barcelona, as Xavi Hernandez also wanted him in his team during his last year with the Blaugrana team.

While his signing is not expected to be easy, as Deco believes his signing will be essential to fight for all the titles next season, and is going to try everything possible to sign him. Thus, to reduce his price, Barcelona can also offer some of their current players like Ferran Torres, Eric Garcia, or Pablo Torre.

There is no doubt that a player of Lobotka’s characteristics will prove to be useful in Flick’s team. However, it remains to be seen how this story develops, as there is still some time till the next transfer window opens.
