Barcelona target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

AC Milan keeping tabs on 33-year-old Chelsea outcast, player prefers Barcelona return

FC Barcelona target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer after an underwhelming season with The Blues, with several clubs such as AC Milan and Atlético Madrid interested in obtaining his services, in addition to the Catalan club which would be interested in a potential return of the Gabonese forward.

According to reports from Evening Standard, Mauricio Pochettino, who was recently appointed as the new manager of Chelsea, will begin a cleaning sweep at the club and he doesn’t count on Aubameyang, having already informed the 33-year-old that he must find a way out of the club.

In addition, several clubs from Saudi Arabia have expressed their interest in acquiring the player’s services, and Chelsea are reportedly willing to accept any offer, no matter how small the transfer fee would be, and take a loss after the €12 million investment they paid for his signing less than a year ago.

According to SPORT, although Aubameyang would approve a return to Barcelona where he enjoyed a decent spell in the second half of the last season, but AC Milan and Atlético Madrid are also interested in the Gabon international who had also played for the Rossoneri previously in his youth years.

Aubameyang, who has only featured in 21 games for Chelsea this season and registered just 5 goal contributions across all competitions, is one of the players whose departure from the London-based club is very likely in the summer, given the pressure on the club to sell players before June 30 to adjust their financial accounts and comply to the Financial Fair Play, after registering huge waves of expenditure in the last two transfer windows.
