Xavi said in his pre-match press briefing that this is a golden opportunity for Barca to hold on to the 2nd place and it will be important for us to win tomorrow.

Xavi had to replace his entire back-line apart from Jordi Alba who somehow dragged himself to play the entirety of the match despite having discomforts. However, most of the players have been declared fit ahead of Barca vs Rayo Vallecano.

Jordi Alba, Dani Alves, and Ronald Araujo trained normally with the rest of the Squad while Gerad Pique trained individually. When asked about Pique’s availability for tomorrow’s match by the reporters, Xavi responded that Pique has been playing with muscular discomforts for the last two months. His commitment is great and we will see him tomorrow and then decide about his participation in the match.
