Guiu’s alternative
However, he will soon become unavailable for La Blaugrana for a decent duration. As he travels with Spain to Indonesia for the Under-17 FIFA World Cup, Barça will have to look elsewhere for depth.
Fortunately for them, they have yet another prodigious striker within the quarry. As highlighted by SPORT, Guiu’s absence could mark an opportunity for Pau Victor. A 21-year-old striker currently on loan from Girona, he has been fundamental for Barcelona Athletic this season.

Having scored 6 goals in 9 games, providing two assists along the way, the Spaniard is in fine form. However, due to the emergence of Guiu, he has not had the spotlight focused on him that much.

He has a purchase option in his loan deal worth €3 million. In terms of value, it would be a smart investment for a promising player. However, his inclusion within the first team even after Guiu’s imminent departure remains complicated.
