In an ideal world, a lot of things would be different for FC Barcelona at the moment. Their financial situation as well as the overall quality of their squad, would all be much better. However, in the real world, Barcelona continues to have to fight for what they want.
Yet, their success rate in doing so has hardly been a flawless score. Instead, Barcelona continues to struggle with finding stability in an ever-changing environment. Even now, the entire saga concerning Xavi Hernandez and his future at Barcelona continues to put the club in a phase of uncertainty.
However, despite the pleas of Joan Laporta, Rafa Yuste, and even Deco, it seems that there is no changing Xavi’s mind. As per SPORT, the Barcelona coach has not even changed his words or thoughts one bit, and his decision to leave the Catalan club at the end of the season remains absolute.
Following the defeat to Villarreal, a swift change was seen within the words of the Barcelona coach. A man who seemed utterly defeated and at a loss for words, the Terrassa-born coach revealed that his decision at the end of this season would be to leave the club of his life and let someone else take over.
However, strong voices within Barcelona still remain convinced that Xavi must continue. As per his contract, he is still obligated to serve the Catalan giants for another year. On the other hand, the Spanish coach and former Barcelona icon already has decided that he wants to terminate his deal and move on.
The pressure of Barcelona seems to have got to him, and he no longer wishes to deal with it. However, finding a replacement is far from an easy task as well. Adding further uncertainty, the Blaugranes have already discarded some names from their list of potential candidates to consider for various reasons.
On the other hand, the names that La Blaugrana still have on their agenda are far from being easy acquisitions as well. Thus, Xavi remains the ideal candidate to continue coaching Barcelona next season. However, convincing him to change his mind will remain the great challenge for the heads of the Catalan club.
