Big performances make way for big opportunities, even for players at a club like FC Barcelona. While most of the stars there are already bonafide elites of the game, some work to make a name for themselves. One such player at Barcelona is undoubtedly the Brazilian winger Raphinha.

Often questioned and criticized for his inconsistent performances, the Brazilian winger has been compared to former greats of South America at Barcelona and belittled as a consequence. However, against Paris Saint-Germain, he was easily the player through whom Barcelona created the most danger.

His two goals were sublime, and their timing was vital to Barcelona. Ultimately, coupled with the late winner from Andreas Christensen, Raphinha’s goals ensured that Barcelona were to be the team that emerged victorious against PSG. However, beyond just the praise he received, Raphinha may be rewarded even further.

As per SPORT, his performance against PSG has not gone unnoticed at the global level. Those who control the reins at the Brazilian National team already know the quality of the former Leeds United winger, but they now want the Barcelona forward as a guarantee for the Copa America.

Come the summer, the prestigious South American tournament will take place in the United States of America. A lot of top teams such as Argentina and Uruguay will be there, but Brazil once again hopes to enter the tournament as strong contenders for the title. With Raphinha now being in-form as well, the Barcelona winger could become a guarantee for them as well.

Ever since his return from the last international break, one in which he did not manage to impress too many people, Raphinha has been on a mission. Being vital for Xavi’s Barcelona, he managed to be impactful for the team despite not even often playing his football from his preferred position at the right wing.
