Despite the need to reinforce the Barcelona squad over the summer with quality arrivals from elsewhere, there continues to exist light within the club itself when it comes to talented footballers.

La Masia has stood its ground through the years and continues to produce footballers that possess the potential to become elites of the game. Ansu Fati, Gavi, and Alejandro Balde are a few of the names that have recently engraved their talents across Europe following their development in La Masia.

Now, in time, a new batch of talents will emerge from La Masia as they tend to inevitably do. Five names from the youth ranks, in particular, are considered by Mundo Deportivo to be talents that possess the greatest chance of breaking through as regulars into the first team in the coming years.

Chadi Riyadh

The Moroccan central defender is arguably one of the finest Barcelona have developed in recent years. Having played a significant number of minutes for Rafa Marquez’s side this season, he was a particular standout within the subsidiary.

He has also already made his debut with the first team in November of last year against Osasuna, and could potentially be sent out on loan to gain first-team experience.

Arnau Tenas

The number 1 between the sticks for Barca Atletic with 30 games played this season and considered a regular call-up to the first team under Xavi Hernandez, Arnau Tenas is believed destined to be a first-team goalkeeper for years to come. He was even allowed a significant portion of game time in the first team’s friendly against Japanese side Vissel Kobe.

Marc Casado

The midfielder is understood to be one of the most technical when it comes to possessing control of the ball and his reliable versatility on various fronts of the field. The 19-year-old is one of those that impresses the most courtesy of his ball-playing abilities.

Estanis Pedrola

The 19-year-old Spanish winger possesses the unnerving ability to be able to dismantle defensive structures and bewildering oppositions, something that coaches, in particular, despise playing against.

With 8 goals to his name as well, the winger is already tied with other top scorers in the B team and has also made his debut for the first team as well against Mallorca in January of last year.

Lamine Yamal

The youngest debutant for FC Barcelona, the 15-year-old is an undeniable star in the making. Having made his appearance for the first team against Real Betis under Xavi Hernandez, his unconventionally young age is a testament to his footballing ability which is far beyond his years.

The Spaniard has been assessed by many who claim that he is the face of FC Barcelona heading into the future, with high hopes of him by both the club and its fans remaining ever present. Yamal is also reportedly among the youngsters shortlisted to be part of the Blaugrana squad for the United States pre-season tour.
