FC Barcelona continue to produce great talents that sooner or later introduce themselves to the footballing world. Recent years, in particular, have seen the prominence of La Masia and subsidiary grow even stronger. This comes as a really positive development for Barcelona that struggles with financial issues.

La Blaugrana has seen the likes of Gavi, Fermin Lopez, Alejandro Balde, Marc Guiu, and several other talented stars emerge from the academy and subsidiary in recent times. It now seems that a new name may end up joining them sooner rather than later as well.

As highlighted by SPORT, 17-year-old Cristobal Munoz is a player of great quality. Formerly, he was really close with both Gavi and Fermin Lopez in his youth days when he first joined Barcelona in 2017. While his two friends have now become first-team mainstays, Munoz is still making his way up.

However, unfortunately for Munoz, the road does seem a bit longer. Yet, despite that hindrance, the player does not lose hope. In terms of technical ability, he is seen as a great footballer. Able to play both in the midfield and the attach, the player constantly evolves.

Apart from his technical brilliance, the player has also managed to add other traits to his arsenal. An improved ability to read the game as well as being able to sacrifice one’s own self for the betterment of the team are two traits that he has recently acquired.

For now, he continues his progression gradually. The 17-year-old has featured for Rafa Marquez’s Barcelona Athletic sparingly, but he mainly represents the Juvenil A side. In their recent victory over Shakhtar Donetsk, the midfielder was once again important.

For now, the Barcelona first team remains a distant dream. However, it remains a dream that he is quite intent on fulfilling. Moreover, Munoz can always count on Gavi and Fermin Lopez to put in a good word for him to Xavi Hernandez in case the manager’s curiosity arises.
