After a winning start to the year with the victory against Las Palmas in La Liga, FC Barcelona will play their second match in the Copa del Rey. This game will see the Blaugranes play against the Secunda Federacion side Barbastro.

Owing to the disparity between the two sides, Xavi can decide to field a starting eleven in which most of his regular starters are rested and replaced with other fringe players or players from the youth team.

Still, the Catalans will be looking for a victory in this match to advance to the next rounds of the tournament, and hopefully also get an important piece to silverware home at the end of the season.

The squad for this match, made up of 21 players, has been announced by Barcelona. Several players from the reserve sides, including Astralaga, Casado, Cubarsi, Aron, Pau Victor, and Hector Fort, have been called up for this match.

However, Balde and Cancelo are unfit and unavailable for this match, while Inigo Martinez has returned to the squad.
