The encounter between FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain did not leave everyone equally happy. Those connected to the Catalan giants celebrated it with great joy, while others on the losing side were particularly distraught. The final victory for Barcelona even left several PSG players frustrated.

One of those names is that of French star and PSG ace Kylian Mbappe. The superstar from Paris was one of the quietest PSG players against Barcelona, and he was nullified expertly by the likes of Jules Kounde, Ronald Araujo, and even Pau Cubarsi. In the entirety of the game against Barcelona, Mbappe failed to register even a single shot on target.

According to SPORT, however, he is determined not to let that happen in the second leg. While Barcelona hold a slight advantage with their one-goal lead heading into the second leg at the Montjuic Stadium, Luis Enrique’s PSG will do everything in their power to ensure that lead does nothing for them.

The Parisians will need to be at their best to overcome Barcelona and ensure their qualification to the semi-finals. Moreover, Mbappe will make it even more difficult for La Blaugrana to confirm their own victory. Over in France, reports have already slaughtered the forward for his lackluster performance against Barça.

However, certain reports also suggest that Mbappe was not at his best due to a physical discomfort. It is impossible to know whether that is true or not, but it was clear to see that the Barcelona defense held him off quite effectively. Yet, it will not be beyond Luis Enrique to switch up his tactics for the second leg.

FC Barcelona will need to be on top of their game as well, as they can not let themselves slip against the Parisians. Ousmane Dembele, Kylian Mbappe, and all other players of importance for PSG could be given new orders, and those could be way more impactful than the ones at the Parc des Princes.
