The ongoing campaign has been nothing short of a disappointment for FC Barcelona. Xavi’s men have ultimately failed to deliver a single title, and for Barça that will always be a shame. However, a lot of the problems at Barcelona this season have been attributed to non-existent factors.
One such factor that has been pointed out a lot by various people is the depth that Barcelona possesses. However, one area in which Barcelona certainly does not lack depth is the forward zone. Many strikers remain available for selection, yet most of them never seem to be able to attain Xavi’s unwavering trust.
Thus, it becomes important to understand where the future of these forwards lies up ahead. As per SPORT, six forwards already have their various futures planned on by Barcelona. This particular list includes the likes of Ferran Torres, Joao Felix, Raphinha, Ansu Fati, Vitor Roque, and Marc Guiu.
Ferran Torres (aged 24):
The Spaniard, despite not gaining a lot of prominence this season as he would have hoped for given his excellent start to the campaign, remains committed to Barcelona for now and for the coming years. However, even despite being the second top-scorer of the team, the Spanish striker’s continuity is not guaranteed.
Raphinha (aged 27):
Raphinha has seen his stocks rise exponentially in recent games. Especially after his performances across two legs against PSG, the Brazilian forward has seen a lot of new suitors emerge for him. While Barcelona would be open to selling him for the right price, they will reportedly not consider any offer below €80 million for him.
Joao Felix (aged 24):
Unlike the other names on this list, Joao Felix is not exactly a Barcelona player. Already on loan from Atletico Madrid, at the rate things are going it would seem fair to assume that Barça would not want to make his stay permanent.
However, Barcelona could just be open to prolonging his stay for one more season if Atletico Madrid were to agree to the same terms as right now.
Marc Guiu (aged 18):
One of the most efficient strikers at Barcelona this season, Marc Guiu is considered a special case of sorts. The youngster has been prolific in front of goal in almost every category that he has represented Barcelona this season, and he is set to continue at the club beyond this campaign as well as per the wishes of both Xavi and Barça itself.
Ansu Fati (aged 21):
After a rather failed loan spell at Brighton in the Premier League, Ansu Fati is expected to return to Barcelona. However, his return may not be for too long. As per the report, it would appear that Barça are now hoping to offload the young Spaniard permanently and try to make a profit from his sale.
Vitor Roque (aged 19):
The young Brazilian striker came from Athletico Paranaense to Barcelona with great promise. However, he has not been given the opportunities he so desperately craved in Spain. In fact, it is being reported that the 19-year-old striker may now even leave on loan in the summer.
