With only some weeks left till the end of the current season, the squad planning for the next season is already underway at FC Barcelona. As already reported, the Catalans are looking to make several changes in their backline, as this was one of the most unbalanced parts of the team this season.
Another area of the squad about which there is some uncertainty going forward is that of the offense, and according to SPORT, there are also some changes planned for this part of the team.
As things stand, the club’s attack seems to be set for years to come. Robert Lewandowski has been able to recover his form in the last few weeks, while Vitor Roque also arrived last January and is expected to be the Pole’s successor in the coming years.
There is also the youngster Marc Guiu, who has impressed whenever getting on the pitch with the first team. Lamine Yamal has been one of the most pleasant surprises for Barcelona this season and is now an established part of the team.
Ferran Torres is also highly trusted by Xavi, but the Brazilian winger Raphinha does not have many guarantees of staying at the Catalan club this summer. However, there are another two players with very uncertain futures at Barcelona, i.e., Joao Felix and Ansu Fati.
Felix has blown hot and cold during his loan season at Barcelona, and the Catalan club intends to retain him despite his inconsistency. The player himself does not want to return to Atletico Madrid, and the Blaugranes are contemplating the option of extending his loan for another season.
With Ansu Fati, the club is facing the dilemma of whether they should continue counting on him to become a differential player for them in the future, or to let him leave permanently which will allow them to sign other new players.
Thus, while a lot of changes are not expected in the Barcelona attack, the futures of Ansu Fati, Joao Felix, and Raphinha are far from certain at the moment.
