Next season is expected to be a fresh start for FC Barcelona in terms of their goals and objectives. The club hopes to do better in terms of silverware, but also with a more complete squad. This season has already been deemed less than ideal for Barcelona, but hope remains as strong as ever.
A great reason behind said hope has been the emergence of the various young talents who continue to ascend and reach heights never before seen. Two of the most prominent names at Barcelona who live and breathe hope for the club are Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsi.
Set to remain as first-team regulars next season after completely convincing the club in this campaign, Barcelona also wants to acknowledge them accordingly. As per SPORT, Barça hopes to give them first-team records and even kit numbers next season to officially integrate them as part of Xavi’s team.
However, a massive hurdle that could stop them from doing so is La Liga’s final financial allocation to Barcelona. The Catalan club has already submitted the necessary financial documents to the league offices and they will now receive a reply in a few weeks time that will dictate just how much spending power and allocation they are granted in the upcoming summer.
Consequently, Barcelona will have to address their priorities accordingly. While La Blaugrana also hope to integrate new contracts for both the 16-year-old winger and the 17-year-old defender, that will also depend on just how much salary space they have and what conditions they get to work with.
Other priorities such as signing new players in integral positions are also very important. Thus, taking care of each and every priority will be a taxing and consuming project, which is why there are still no guarantees about whether or not Yamal and Cubarsi will have official first-team records next season.
