The next stage of the UEFA Champions League will once again truly test FC Barcelona. La Blaugrana have finally managed to reach the quarterfinals of the competition, and have done so after a long wait. However, up next for Barcelona arrives a great challenge in the form of a certain French side.

Parisian club Paris Saint-Germain will be the opponents for Barcelona in the final eight of the competition. Led by former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique, the French side is adamant about their own chances of reaching the final four of Europe’s premier competition.

However, Barcelona seem to be confident about their own chances as well. Without losing respect for their opponents, as highlighted by Mundo Deportivo, certain Barcelona players have given their own opinions and reactions to the recent UCL draw.

For Brazilian winger Raphinha, the tough competition was already guaranteed before the draw even took place. However, he believes Barcelona has what it takes to do things right and get the right result:

“There are eight favorite teams for the title, we knew that any team we faced was going to be difficult, and PSG is no different. It is going to be a difficult duel, but we know what we can give and contribute to the victory to be in the next round.”

Moreover, even Raphinha’s young compatriot, Vitor Roque, spoke with encouragement and confidence about working for victory: “There will be two games, we want to be champions, so we have to work hard and get through.”

The first leg of the heavily anticipated tie between Barcelona and PSG will take place on the 10th of April in Paris. Then, the return leg will take place at the Montjuic Stadium a few days later on the 16th of April. Whoever ends up winning this tie will take on the winner between Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals.
