Barcelona midfield target Sofyan Amrabat

Midfield target may finally be affordable for Barcelona – report

With emerging reports putting a priority on arrivals, FC Barcelona look to be on their way to making interestingly opportunistic offers and doing their best at evading any and all scenarios where their economic situation once again becomes a hurdle.

The pivot position, as previously reported by Barca News Network, remains an excessively vulnerable spot for FC Barcelona at the moment given the departure of the former captain Sergio Busquets.

As per the latest report from SPORT, the current understanding within Barcelona is that a potential target for the pivot position who currently plies his trade at Fiorentina in Italy would be an achievable operation for the Catalans.

Sofyan Amrabat, 26-year-old Moroccan International and player for Serie A side ACF Fiorentina, who Barcelona have been monitoring for quite some time now, could arrive at Barcelona for a player plus cash deal in exchange.

A valuation that is currently being reported by SPORT is that of €20 million + the addition of a player that is currently on loan would prove to be sufficient in order to bring the Moroccan to Catalonia.

Barcelona are starting to gain momentum in terms of arrivals in the summer and prior to this report regarding Amrabat, it has also been widely speculated that the signing of Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan will potentially be wrapped up sooner rather than later.
