Facing a dire financial situation, FC Barcelona have to undertake drastic measures to raise funds and lower their expenses. Selling fringe players is one of the strategies the club has adopted to meet this end, but the club is still to find buyers for most of its players on the transfer list.

However, one player that the club is open to selling and who has considerable demand in the current market is the midfielder Franck Kessie. Media reports mention that a number of sides are interested in the midfielder, with Inter Milan showing their interest for a number of months now.

According to the latest report from Matteo Moretto, there is a lot of uncertainty regarding the player’s future right now. Kessie himself wants to stay in Barcelona, but has offers from a number of clubs in England, Saudi Arabia, and Italy.

The Saudi side Al-Ahli is particularly pushing for the signature of the midfielder, and intends to make an irresistible offer for the midfielder. After joining as a free agent, he already earns a good sum with Barcelona. While the offer from Saudi Arabia will significantly improve Kessie’s wages, he wants even more money if he is to go and play in a league outside of Europe.

Premier League is another attractive destination for the player, and one of the top clubs in England, Chelsea, is interested in him. The new Chelsea coach, Mauricio Pochettino, is an admirer of the player, and wants him, particularly after the departure of Kovacic from the London-based club. Pochettino can play him as a partner with Enzo Fernandez to form a highly effective midfield combination.

Meanwhile, an offer that satisfies both FC Barcelona and Franck Kessie remains to come on the table from any of the interested sides. Al-Ahli can make a highly alluring offer, but Pochettino can also press Chelsea to spend big bucks on a midfielder that can solve a number of problems for his side going into the next season.
