FC Barcelona are looking at options to strengthen their midfield for the next season, and one option that has been linked with the club in recent months is Marcelo Brozovic. According to recent reports, the Catalan club’s pursuit of the player has been complicated because of another offer that the Croat has received.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Brozovic is looking forward to playing with FC Barcelona for the upcoming season. However, he has also received an offer from the Saudi club Al Nassr, whose economic might and ability to offer vastly greater numbers to the player have the potential to turn the Croat’s head.

Brozovic’s future can turn into a saga as it is becoming increasingly complicated. The report mentions that while the player himself is keen to come to Camp Nou and play for one of the biggest clubs in club football, his agent is eager to take the player to Saudi Arabia.

Joining the Saudi side will result in a higher pay for the midfielder, which would also mean better compensation and commission for his agent. Meanwhile, Barcelona are also aware of the situation, and are trying to convince the player for a move to Catalonia.

They argue that playing for Barcelona would make the player even more valuable, and the player himself would grow better in La Liga.

The midfielder has been an important part of Inter Milan’s squad for a number of years, and the 30-year-old made 28 Serie A appearances for the Italian side last season. In these 28 appearances, the player scored three goals and provided five assists.

While Brozovic was unable to help Inter retain their Serie A title, he did help them reach the Champions League final, and made nine appearances in the tournament.

Thus, adding Brozovic to their squad would be a great piece of business for Barcelona, as they will get a player with significant Champions League experience, something Xavi is looking for right now. However, Al-Nassr’s interest can make it difficult for Barcelona, but everything is open for now.
